Norton Security just launched Norton Antivirus 12 and Norton Internet Security 5 beta version for Mac OS X Lion 10.7. Norton release these version as beta for public with some more improvements and features. These new versions of antivirus specially only for Mac OS X Lion 10.7 and it can’t work with other previous Mac OS versions. Mac users who do not have Mac OS X 10.7 installed, they can use Norton Antivirus 11 and Norton Internet Security 4 that are comes with same installer disks.

Features of Norton new release for Mac OS X Lion:

• Mount Scan: Now Norton scan USB or Mount CD/DVD only when you open it for work. Without open Norton will do nothing.
• Ideltime Scanning: New Norton version scan for threats while the machine is not being used.  Or you can use scheduled scans using Applescript or using your own custom scripts using the “navx” command.
• Faster Installation: Instead of waiting to download the new definition and signature updates during install, Norton download them in the background after your Mac restarts, which results in a much faster install experience.
